how does it feel/to puncture the skin/ with a sharp electric needle/ just to define yourself/ or to belong
to another self/ gazing through the magnifying lens/ feel the loneliness of a man whose body is not just
tattooed/ soul tattooed/ with pain etched/ on the walls of the mind/ which laser beam fails to erase/ for
it's scarified.

Olatunji Sion is a child of God, a medical student at the University of Ibadan, She loves to create, learn and read. She believes in the power of graciously seasoned words in making our world a better place to be. She has published five poems.
