Crane Flies
They float in silently when one leaves the door open
Even a crack
Absurd to behold
Hard to conceive though their curious silhouettes settle so distinctly against unfinished drywall
Too big for corners, they pull the gaze front and center
Demanding attention or action
Something must be done.
Their carcasses lie just as conspicuous
