Undoubtedly Beauty has multiple components
and one could spend a lifetime collecting them.
Of these components, at this moment
discovery surfs my mind’s eye, and I am
certain there is in motion a custom strategy,
perfectly clear path through light and lack of it
that distends my captive imagination, perpetuates
stratification of broad technological ontologies
which integrated with shooting star showers
and minus the mind’s designs equals me.
Thomas Piekarski is a former editor of the California State Poetry Quarterly. His poetry and interviews have appeared widely in literary journals internationally, including Nimrod, Portland Review, Mandala Journal, Cream City Review, Poetry Salzburg, Pennsylvania Literary Journal, Boston Poetry Magazine, and Poetry Quarterly.
