and she let him rest his head in her lap
while she played with his hair
and sang songs quiet enough
for only them to hear.
Anthony Nicaj is 22 and just graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor's in English literature. He spent a brief period of time last summer writing adult book reviews for a terrible website in Manhattan, and has since then started working as an intern at Donadio & Olson, a literary agency. He's only had two poems published—both in his college's literary magazine, and he really didn't even like them too much afterwards. He's hoping to eventually teach ESL abroad, but for now, he's content with just being an English tutor on his days off.
