An unspoken element of respect existed within that job; as the intimate invitation into people\u2019s lives is never taken lightly. Susan\u2019s  work has appeared in <em>The Sun Magazine, Simply Haiku, elimae, .Cent Magazine, Rain Taxi Review of Books<\/em> and <em> Water~Stone Review<\/em>. Her paintings have shown in <em>the New England Review, Catamaran Literary Reader<\/em>, <em>Mud Season Review<\/em> and <em>The Hopper<\/em>.  <em>The Pond<\/em> (Green Writers Press 2019), a book of painted poetry, was done in collaboration with writer Richard Jarrette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sleet Team&nbsp;\u2013 your work is safe with us.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Kathleen McEathron<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5>Fiction Editor<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"http:\/\/sleetmagazine.com\/images\/bios\/kathy_writing_bio_sm1807.jpg\" alt=\"Kathy\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kathleen McEathron lives and works in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She writes fiction when she is not shoveling snow or mowing the lawn. Her goal is to develop characters that could serve as imaginary friends in a pinch.      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Pamela Schmid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5>Creative Nonfiction Editor<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"http:\/\/sleetmagazine.com\/images\/bios\/pam_biopic1807.jpg\" alt=\"Pam\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Before receiving a 2013-14 Loft Mentor Series award in \nnonfiction, Pamela Schmid spent nearly a decade as a staff writer for \nthe Star Tribune of Minneapolis. Her work has appeared in <em>Barren Magazine, The Common, River Teeth, Bellevue Literary Review<\/em>\n and elsewhere. She holds an MFA degree from Hamline University and is \ncurrently completing a memoir about the power of silence and words. \nOften, she can be found scribbling on Post-it<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> notes or her left palm, whichever is handier. His work is featured in the mnLit <em>What Light<\/em> program (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mnartists.org\">www.mnartists.org<\/a>),  and \u201cWhat Light,\u201d an anthology that collects the work of 27 Minnesota  poets.  His criticism appears in online editions of the <em>Rain Taxi Review of Books<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.raintaxi.com\/?s=todd+pederson\">www.raintaxi.com<\/a>). Her work has been shown in <em>pioneertown., Sleet Magazine, The Midwest Quarterly<\/em>, and the <em>Wisconsin Review<\/em>.\n She lives on the edge of the Tongass National Forest in Douglas, \nAlaska, with her husband, two children, and two cats. Rumor has it Sleet Lady nominated herself for the Nobel Prize, twice.  And, she loves to tell the story of how she was at the bar with Hemmingway when he penned his famous one-line short story. Sleet Lady pioneered NASA&#8217;s new top-secret poetry project, Flying Pearls, recently  cancelled due to budget cuts, and is now busy developing a new cryptocurrency, Sleetcoin. AND: Sleet Lady is debating herself on  whether to run for president.
