John Tustin
Autumn Has Been Here
Autumn has been here.
It’s gone now.
I’m about to be smack-dab
In the middle of winter soon
But I don’t care
And I don’t love you anymore.
The leaves are mixing with the mud
As the rain falls each night.
It’s slipperier out here than it was.
I don’t care
And I don’t love you anymore.
It’s getting colder, too
And I just want to go home
But I don’t have a home,
Not really.
I wish I had a heavier coat
And I don’t love you anymore
And I just want to go home.
