Stella Radulescu

bells & bones

douleur—
a knock at the door
a finger cut off becomes
a simple word
say it
say it again
the world is watching your
bloody tongue
lifting the weight
of silence

*

brother again    : the oak
panic
through windowpanes of darkness
human configuration
of time       : arms arms falling
& rising
flowering    : speak speak
to this mouth the long due Summer
the sky
the language    ours
lost
in the grass
