Volume 3 Number 2 • Fall 2011
Yellow,
a man thinks one morning over eggs
and hires a painter to paint the front door.
Reminds me of Tuscany,
his neighbor says into a cordless phone
then looks down at her toes.
What is that red, the name of the flower
that was her mother's favorite?
Geraniums, the complete encyclopedia,
lays open on a short wall with other
paperbacks about surgery or suicide.
A woman takes them.
There are so many things
she does not know
about herself.
