BEATLES VS. STONES

Something is on fire in another room
A chess set in a cage lit by pools of radium
I was afraid of having my testicles crushed
And more afraid of hearing my own voice echo
If anything is swimming it is swimming toward the sun
There is brine on the stone and on the wheel
And on the immaculate conception
I put a loaded gun on the podium
And pointed it at the new technology
The friend lays a flower on the turned earth
We traveled miles by underground canals to get here
Unquiet unguent
I thought silence existed
But I had not put silence to the test
No silence exists that is not pregnant
A flame made live to amplify the heartbeat
