To The Teahouse

Stone lantern,
stone basin,
stepping stones.
The path garden
is completely stoned.

Maple leaves drop
hints. Pines are pruned,
wired, weighted. The moss
is swept.

I, too, am part of this design,
unplanned
and unpredictable.
