You can't walk down the street reading a book here, or maybe you
were just fortunate to have lived places where you could. It isn't
much for sunsets, but then not every place can be.
Wet both sides of a sheet of rice paper with fingers. Fill with lettuce,
cucumber, mushroom, pineapple, and mint. Dip in the chilies,
water, and sugar of this part of your life.
I can only say, there we have been: but I cannot say where.
And I cannot say, how long, for that is to place it in time.

She takes pictures at odd times, always of the sky. Simple shots,
good
composition. Never says anything when she shows them, just puts
the camera in front of my face
as if to say, this is what I see. This is how I have learned to.
